When you search on Banaki, we rank the results according to three criteria, in this order: first, accommodation with instant booking; then, the number of reviews in descending order; then, the date the listing was created. There is no paid placement. No host can buy a better position.
2. Why this order
Instant booking comes first, because it gets you a binding confirmation faster. The number of reviews comes next, because it shows which accommodation has already been booked multiple times. The date of creation, as the last criterion, ensures that new listings remain visible among accommodation rated equally on the other criteria.
3. How reviews come about
You can only review an accommodation if you have actually booked it there. Banaki checks this against your booking before the review function is unlocked. There are no reviews on Banaki from people who have not booked.
4. Handling of reviews
Reviews are published as you write them. Banaki removes a review only if it breaches applicable law, for example through insults or false statements of fact, or if it later turns out that no booking underlay it. A host cannot have a review removed merely because they dislike it.
5. Changes to this procedure
If the way Banaki ranks search results or checks reviews changes, this page will be updated accordingly.
