Report Content

As of October 25, 2026
This translation is provided for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

1. What you can report

If you notice content on Banaki that breaches our terms and conditions or applicable law, you can report it. This applies to listings, images, reviews of places and profiles. It also applies to content that users post for roadtrips: routes, reviews of routes, travel reports and images in travel reports. Reasons include false information about an accommodation, inappropriate images, insults, advertising, or the infringement of your privacy or your copyright.

2. How to submit a report

With the "Report" button. On routes and on reviews of routes you will find the "Report" button. You report a travel report or an image in it with the button on the route and state in the reason what you mean. You do not need an account for this. In the dialog you state:

  • what it is about (illegal content, insult or hate, violation of privacy, spam or advertising, copyright or other),
  • why you consider the content unlawful or in breach of our terms, with at least 10 characters,
  • your email address, if you are not signed in,
  • the confirmation that your information is correct and complete to the best of your knowledge.

The button itself sends along which content you mean. You can give your name in the reason. If you are signed in, we assign the report to your account. A small calculation task in the background protects the dialog from automated misuse. We accept at most 10 reports per hour from one internet connection.

Through the contact form or by email. You report listings, reviews of places and all other content through the contact form or by email to moin@kogge.digital. You report profiles through the user's profile. Please state which content you mean (ideally with a link), why you consider it unlawful or in breach of the rules, your name and how we can reach you.

What we store about your report and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy in section 32.

3. What happens next

  1. Confirmation of receipt. After a report through the button, you receive an email immediately saying that it has arrived. We also confirm a report through the contact form or by email (Art. 16(4) DSA).
  2. Review. A person at Banaki reviews every report diligently, objectively and without arbitrariness. We use no automated means for this, neither for the review nor for the decision (Art. 16(6) DSA). As a rule we decide within 7 days.
  3. Decision. We decide whether the content stays visible, is hidden or is removed. Others no longer see hidden content, and the author continues to see it with a note.
  4. Notice to you. You receive the decision by email, with reasons and with information on how you can challenge it (Art. 16(5) DSA).
  5. Notice to the author. If we hide or remove content, the author receives an email with reasons (Art. 17 DSA). It names the measure, the facts that led to it, whether in our view the content is unlawful or breaches our terms, that a person decided without automated means, and how the author can complain. If the content stays visible, we do not notify the author.

We do not pass your name and email address on to the author, unless the law obliges us to.

4. Complaint against a decision

If you disagree with our decision, you can complain within six months. This applies to you as the reporter and to the author of the content. Write to moin@kogge.digital for this and name the content and the decision, ideally with the report number from our email. A person reviews the complaint again, and we tell you the result with reasons. If it turns out that we decided wrongly, we reverse the decision.

As a small enterprise, Banaki is not required to offer this complaint procedure or to take part in out-of-court dispute settlement bodies under Art. 20 and 21 DSA (Art. 19 DSA). Banaki offers the complaint voluntarily. Banaki does not take part in out-of-court dispute settlement. Your right to bring the matter before a court remains unaffected.

5. Point of contact for authorities and users

moin@kogge.digital is the point of contact for inquiries from authorities in connection with the Digital Services Act and for users who wish to reach Banaki (Art. 11 and 12 DSA). Inquiries can be made in German or English.
