About this place
Fahrdorf liegt an der Schlei, dem einzigen Meeresfjord Deutschlands, der sich von der Ostsee weit ins schleswig-holsteinische Binnenland zieht. Die Schlei ist ein breiter, stiller Wasserarm mit Segelbooten auf dem Wasser und Störchen auf den angrenzenden Wiesen. Schleswig mit seinem Dom und dem Wikinger Museum Haithabu liegt in Sichtweite, die Landschaft ringsum ist flach, grün und vom Wasser durchdrungen.
